This nine-story Richmond landmark, known previously for being a commercial building for 120 years, was renovated into a 168-unit residential building. Originally built in 1905, the Mutual Assurance Society Building became well-known for its six complete Otis elevators, Westinghouse electrical generating plant, and being a massive structure for its time (125 feet above ground level).
