PINEHURST, NC (January 2026) — Pinewild Country Club of Pinehurst has announced the start of construction on a comprehensive $18 million clubhouse transformation, a major reinvestment in private club living in Pinehurst, NC. The project comes as Pinehurst continues to gain national attention as a place to live, not just visit.
Recently recognized by Travel + Leisure as the safest and wealthiest place to retire in 2025, Pinehurst, NC is seeing increased interest from full-time residents seeking a lifestyle anchored in golf, wellness, and community. Pinewild’s clubhouse reinvestment aligns the club experience with that shift, reinforcing the community’s role as one of the clearest paths to modern private club living in Pinehurst.
Construction began in mid-December 2025, with completion targeted for Q1 2027. Designed by S3 Design of Braintree, Massachusetts, the project expands and reimagines Pinewild’s clubhouse as the social and cultural center of the community, strengthening the private club experience at a moment when residential interest in Pinehurst is accelerating.

The renewed clubhouse is designed to elevate everyday living at Pinewild, supporting dining, wellness, social connection, and milestone events throughout the year.

- A 150-seat ballroom for member events, weddings, and celebrations

- A back patio with firepits overlooking the 18th hole, creating a new focal point for social life
