L.F. Jennings is seeking Preconstruction Manager: a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about building quality for their clients and thrives within a team. The ideal candidate will possess 8 years of experience and demonstrated general construction preconstruction experience. Experience can be in shell buildings, multifamily residential and/or interior work.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of estimator experience with a general contractor
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil, architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Experience with estimating software such as SmartBid and OnScreen Takeoff.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
- The right candidate will possess a drive for success, strong problem-solving abilities, and a desire to work in a team environment.
- Able to manage positive relationships with clients, designers, coworkers and subcontractors.
- Able to lead a project team through the Preconstruction phase from budgeting to bidding and awarding subcontracts.
- Able to work with Project Managers and other field personnel to develop project schedules and logistical plans.
- Able to attend meetings, trainings, marketing events, etc. outside the office.
- Possess excellent communication skills including proposal writing, e-mail, and verbal communication.
Responsibilities include issuing bid invitations, writing scopes of work for various trades, performing quantity takeoffs, developing budgets for projects, and working with others in the Preconstruction and Project Management Departments to ensure completeness in our bids.
