L. F. Jennings, Inc., a leader in the construction industry in the mid-Atlantic region, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Masonry team. This position is based in our Falls Church, Virginia office.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with project management team, engineers, subcontractors and owners.
• Support project leadership in the management of subcontractor performance, schedule and contracts.
• Achieve project milestones through appropriate planning, goals and deadlines.
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards.
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, performance standards and specifications.
• Creatively solve problems, seek appropriate support for decision making, and carry issues to positive resolution.
• Prioritize work and escalate challenges appropriately.
• Review deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Communication with stakeholders, including owners, architects, and subcontractors. Maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent
• Previous experience in a Construction Management Internship or Co-Op position preferred
• Experience with construction software is preferred (i.e. Procore, Primavera P6, Viewpoint, etc.)
• Evidenced leadership

• Ability to establish relationships with internal and external partners
