For Immediate Release
9/27/2010

FALLS CHURCH, VA.-

L.F. Jennings, Inc. Corporate Interiors Division has begun work on the interior renovation of the Peace Corps Headquarters in Washington, DC. Located at 1111 20th Street, NW, this high profile 166,000 SF project is a complete building lease renewal between GSA, representing Peace Corps, and Vanguard Building LP, represented by Axent Realty Group
(www.axentrealty.com).

Willco Companies (www.willcocompanies.com) is the construction manager for the landlord, overseeing all aspects of the design, permitting, construction and move coordination.

IA Interior Architects designed the new interiors with a focus on maximizing available space and creating a professional environment worthy of an institution like the Peace Corps. The streamlined workstations and high tech voice and data cable and new phone system will provide the optimal work environment and accommodate an increase in staffers if needed. Aesthetically pleasing finishes such as new carpet, paint and millwork will also bring fresh appeal to the building.

The Peace Corps Headquarters renovation is the most logistically challenging project undertaken to date by L.F. Jennings Corporate Interiors. It will take nearly two years to complete. According to Jeffrey S. Black, L.F. Jennings Vice President of Corporate Interiors, This project will require tremendous coordination efforts by the entire team which includes Axent, Willco, GSA, Peace Corps, Fox / Management Alternatives, Inc., IA Interior Architects and L.F. Jennings.

Work for this project began September 7, 2010. Scheduled completion is spring of 2012.
